Lonavala Lake
A serene artificial lake surrounded by lush green hills. Perfect for a morning walk or a quiet sunset sit-down. Especially beautiful in winter.
Tiger's Leap (Vaaghjai)
One of the most dramatic cliff viewpoints in the Sahyadris. A vertical drop of 650m into the lush valley — utterly breathtaking, especially at sunrise.
Rajmachi Fort
A twin-peaked fortress with panoramic Sahyadri views. The trek takes about 2–3 hours and rewards you with incredible vistas of the surrounding valley.
Bhushi Dam
The iconic picnic spot of Lonavala. Even in December the dam steps make for a gorgeous walk. Arrive early to beat the weekend crowds.
Lohagad Fort
One of Maharashtra's most celebrated hill forts, with sweeping 360° views. A moderate trek through scenic countryside makes for a perfect morning excursion.
Karla & Bhaja Caves
2nd-century Buddhist rock-cut caves — a UNESCO-listed marvel. The Karla Great Chaitya is the largest rock-cut chaitya in India. A must-visit for history lovers.
Maganlal Chikki 🍬
The OG. Lonavala's most famous chikki shop has been making groundnut, sesame and dry fruit brittles since 1913. Take home boxes for everyone you know.
Roasted Corn & Wada Pav
The Lonavala experience isn't complete without a steaming wada pav from a roadside stall and butter-roasted corn while watching the valley below. Bliss.
The Dukes Retreat
Heritage resort dining with Maharashtrian and continental menus. Their Sunday brunches are legendary. Beautiful valley-view terrace for breakfast.
Bistro 1887
Charming colonial-era café serving all-day breakfast, excellent wood-fired pizzas and a legendary chocolate fudge brownie. Instagram-worthy interiors.

Multi-level outdoor restaurant with a waterfall backdrop. Authentic Maharashtrian thali and tandoor specialties. A unique dining experience in a village-theme setting.
Sunrise Point Chai Stalls 🍵
Nothing beats a cutting chai at sunrise with the valley fog below. Multiple makeshift stalls near Sunrise Point serve the best no-frills chai you'll ever have.
The Machan Sky Bar
Perched atop The Machan resort in a treehouse-like setting. Craft cocktails with unmatched views of the Sahyadri forest. Reservations essential, especially on weekends.
Fern Hill Bar & Pool Deck
Relaxed pool-deck bar at Fern Hill Hotel. Fantastic sangrias, beers on tap and hill views. A great pre-cocktail-party warm-up spot for the afternoon of Dec 11!
Hilltop Lounge at Rhythm
The cocktail venue's own pre-function lounge. Opens at 5PM on Dec 11 for guests who arrive early. Valley views, curated nibbles and the wedding playlist warming up.
XO Sports Bar & Grill
Popular sports pub near the expressway junction. Multiple screens, craft beers, nachos and a buzzy weekend crowd. Great for catching a game after sightseeing.
Della Adventure Bar & Grill
Part of Della Adventure Park, this open-air grill and bar is buzzing on weekend evenings. DJ nights on Fridays and Saturdays. A fun after-dinner destination.
Sula Vineyards Tasting Room
Just 45 min away, Sula's Nashik wines are available at their Lonavala partner venue. Wine flights, charcuterie boards and a relaxed indoor-outdoor ambiance.
Arrive a Day Early
If you can, arrive on Dec 10 to explore at leisure before the cocktail on Dec 11. The drive up in daylight is stunning.

Set your alarm for 6AM — Tiger's Leap at sunrise with the valley fog below is one of the most spectacular sights you'll ever see.

Chikki Shopping
Buy chikki from the main highway shops — not the tiny stalls. Maganlal Chikki and Cooper's are the gold standard. Boxes make brilliant gifts.
Rent a Car for the Day
The best way to explore Lonavala is by car. Ola/Uber operates here but a day rental (~₹2000) gives you freedom to stop wherever you want.
Keep Offline Maps Ready
Signal can be patchy in the hills. Download Google Maps offline for Lonavala before you arrive to navigate the back roads without issue.
